范立生教授为国家自然科学基金重点项目负责人、教育部自然科学二等奖第一完成人、广东省杰出青年基金获得者、爱思唯尔中国高被引学者、广东省工程研究中心主任、广东省学术创新团队 “大数据安全关键技术”的负责人。
研究方向为人工智能与算力网络，目前承担国家自然科学基金重点及面上项目、广东省自然科学杰出青年基金、广东省科技厅国际科学合作项目、广东省学术创新团队项目、广州市科技计划对外科技合作项目等重要课题的研究工作。在这些课题的支持下，主要从事人工智能、算力网络、智能计算、无线大数据等研究工作。研究成果发表在IEEE会刊等国际顶级期刊上多篇，以第一完成人获得了教育部自然科学二等奖、中国通信学会自然科学二等奖，还获得了国际无线通信与信号处理大会的最佳论文奖及十周年杰出论文奖。
担任国际期刊IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology的编委，指导学生开展人工智能方向的研究，目前研究生以第一作者在IEEE Transactions on Communications、IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security、IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering、IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology等国际顶级期刊上发表论文多篇。培养的学生石方、李超、郭英浩、周文棋等人获得国家奖学金，其中石方、李超还入选了广东省优秀硕士毕业生。毕业生就业前景广阔，如去腾讯、字节跳动、头条、工商银行等企业，部分毕业生去卢森堡大学、中山大学、华南理工大学、山东大学、厦门大学等国内外名校深造。

Dr. Lisheng Fan is now the Professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Computer Science and Networking Engineering of Guangzhou University. His research interest is artificial intelligence and computational power network. He is the PI of the Guangdong Provincial Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the first winner of the second prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, the highly cited scholar of Elsevier China, the director of the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center, and the head of the ``big data security key technology" of the Guangdong Provincial Academic Innovation Team.
He has undertaken the research work of the general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the International Science Cooperation Project of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, the Guangdong Provincial Academic Innovation Team Project, and the foreign science and technology cooperation project of the Guangzhou Science and Technology Plan. With the support of these topics, he is mainly engaged in the research work of artificial intelligence, computing power network, intelligent computing, wireless big data, etc. The research results have been published in many international top journals, such as the IEEE Journal, and have won the second prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education and the second prize of the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Society of Communications for the first time. They have also won the Best Paper Award and the 10th Anniversary Outstanding Paper Award of the International Conference on Wireless Communication and Signal Processing.
He has instructed students to carry out research in the direction of artificial intelligence. At present, graduate students have published many papers in international top journals such as IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology as the first author. The trained students, such as Shi Fang, Li Chao, Guo Yinghao, Zhou Wenqi, were awarded national scholarships, among which Shi Fang and Li Chao were also selected as excellent master graduates of Guangdong Province. Graduates have broad employment prospects, such as Tencent, ByteDance, Toutiao, ICBC and other enterprises. Some graduates go to Luxembourg University, Sun Yat sen University, South China University of Technology, Shandong University, Xiamen University and other famous universities at home and abroad for further study.
